Geocarpon uniflorum (Walter) E.E. Schilling. Phen: Apr-May. Hab: Granitic flatrocks, outcrops of Altamaha grit. Dist: S. NC south to c. GA, west to ec. AL, on the Piedmont and extending into the Coastal Plain of Georgia on Altamaha grit.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Minuartia alabamensis, named on the basis of its tiny flowers, has been shown to be a self-pollinating form of Mononeuria uniflora which has arisen repeatedly and independently at various sites in the range of Mononeuria uniflora.
