Habitat: Thickets, forests, palm groves, chaparral, fencerows. Distribution: Se. TX, sc. TX, s. TX southwards into Mexico (COA, GTO, GRO, HGO, JAL, MIC, NLE, QRO, SLP, TAM, VER). Reports from e. and s. LA are of cultivated plants.
