*Raphanus raphanistrum Linnaeus ssp. raphanistrum . Common name: Wild Radish, Jointed Charlock, White Charlock. Phenology: Mar-Jun (and sporadically later). Habitat: Fields, roadsides, disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Mediterranean Europe.

Origin/Endemic status: Mediterranean Europe and Africa

Taxonomy Comments: European authors (such as Stace 2010, 2021) recognize several infraspecific taxa in R. raphanistrum; North American material represents ssp. raphanistrum.
