*Dichelostemma congestum (Smith) Kunth. Common name: Ookow, Blue-dicks. Phenology: May-Jun. Habitat: Disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Pacific northwestern North America. Cultivated and escaped in the Piedmont of nc. GA (Jones & Coile 1988; specimen at GA).

Origin/Endemic status: W. North America

Synonymy : = Ar, FNA26, K4, Mo1, NSProv, POWO; = Brodiaea congesta Sm. Basionym: Brodiaea congesta Sm. 1811
