Elephantopus tomentosus Linnaeus. Common Elephant’s-foot. Phen: Aug-Nov. Hab: Woodlands and woodland borders, usually fairly dry. Dist: MD south to Panhandle FL, west to e. TX, north in the interior to w. NC and KY.
