Styrax
Styrax Linnaeus. Common name: Snowbell, Storax.
A genus of about 120-130 species, trees and shrubs, of s. Europe, Malesia, se. Asia, se. North America, and tropical America. Nicolson & Steyskal (1976) discussed at length the grammatical gender of the genus, and concluded that it should be treated as masculine.
