Halesia diptera J. Ellis var. magniflora Godfrey. Common name: Big-flower Two-Wing Silverbell. Phenology: Mar-May. Habitat: Dry to moist hammocks. Distribution: Endemic to sw. GA and Panhandle FL.

Taxonomy Comments: Fritsch in FNA (2009) considered the variation clinal, the larger-flowered plants in the eastern part of the range of morphological variation in H. diptera s.l., and not worthy of taxonomic status. Included in the species by Jones & Coile (1988) and Thorne (1954)
