Juncus filipendulus Buckley. Subgenus: Juncus. Section: Graminifolii. Common name: Ringseed Rush, Texas Plains Rush. Phenology: Apr-Aug. Habitat: Seasonally wet soils of prairies and limestone barrens. Distribution: KY, TN, and AL west to OK and TX.
ID notes: Very similar to J. marginatus but with 6 stamens (vs. 3), lighter tan capsules, and straw colored tepals.
