*Bothriochloa ischaemum (Linnaeus) Keng. Common name: King Ranch Bluestem, KR Bluestem, Yellow Bluestem. Phenology: May-Nov (-Apr). Habitat: Highway medians and margins, other disturbed places. Distribution: Native of s. Europe and w. Asia. Reported for SC (Kartesz 1999) and GA (Carter, Baker, & Morris 2009). Reported for s. MO (Thomas 2017). "This species, along with B. laguroides [torreyana], appear to be spreading steadily, especially along the I-81 corridor where they are conspicuous during the late Summer and Fall flowering and fruiting season" (Virginia Botanical Associates 2019).
