Dichanthelium mattamuskeetense (Ashe) Mohlenbrock. Mattamuskeet Witchgrass. Phen: May-Oct. Hab: Wet pine savannas, meadows, borders of pocosin shrub swamps, thickets. Dist: Se. MA south to ne. SC.

ID notes: Typically a robust plant, often richly tinged with dark purple-maroon.
