Dichanthelium malacophyllum (Nash) Gould. Common name: Soft-leaf Witchgrass. Phenology: Late May -June (vernal), June-Nov (autumnal). Habitat: Primarily a plant of cedar glades and dry calcareous soils. Distribution: KY and TN west to KS and TX. Reported from SC by FNA, but source of record has not been identified.
