Panicum philadelphicum Bernhardi ex Trinius ssp. lithophilum (Swallen) Freckmann & Lelong. Section: Panicum. Common name: Flatrock Panic Grass. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Soil islands on granitic flatrocks and domes. Distribution: Restricted to granite outcrops in NC, SC, and ec. GA.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Zuloaga & Morrone (1996) did not consider ssp. lithophilum separable from ssp. philadelphicum.
