*Phalaris minor Retzius. Common name: Lesser Canary Grass. Phenology: Mar. Habitat: Waste areas near wool-combing mills, other disturbed sites. Distribution: Native of Mediterranean Europe. Also reported for other scattered states in e. North America, including peninsular FL (Kartesz 1999).
