Poa compressa Linnaeus. Section: Tichopoa. Common name: Flat-stemmed Bluegrass, Canada Bluegrass. Phenology: Apr-Aug. Habitat: Fields, roadsides, disturbed areas. Distribution: Considered to be a native of Europe, but often found in remote natural areas.
