Poa palustris Linnaeus. Common name: Fowl Bluegrass, Fowl Meadow-grass. Phenology: Jun-Jul. Habitat: Meadows, moist areas, bogs, calcareous spring marshes, stream banks and bars, beaver meadows. Distribution: Circumboreal, south in North America to VA, w. NC, MO, and NM. Some populations, especially southward, may represent introductions.
