not marked as a favorite taxon Thalictrum mirabile Small. Common name: Rockhouse Meadowrue. Phenology: Jun. Habitat: Wet sandstone cliffs, primarily in the Cumberland Plateau (and especially associated with sandstone rockhouses). Distribution: KY south through TN to n. AL and nw. GA (and additionally cited in FNA as occurring in w. NC, a record that is apparently erroneous, presumably based on misidentification of T. clavatum).

ID notes: A delicate relative of T. clavatum, the inflorescence appears sparser because of the shorter and narrower achenes borne on longer stipes.
