Ampelopsis cordata Michaux. Common name: Heartleaf Peppervine, Raccoon-grape, False-grape. Phenology: Apr-Jun; Jul-Sep. Habitat: Moist forests, bottomlands, and thickets, particularly where disturbed. Distribution: E. VA south to Panhandle FL, west to TX, north in the interior to s. OH, s. IN, s. IL, MO, and NE; also introduced at scattered sites inland.
