not marked as a favorite taxon Sesbania herbacea (P. Miller) McVaugh. Common name: Sesban, Coffee-weed, Indigo-weed, Peatree, Bequilla (es), Acacie (frc). Phenology: Jul-Oct; Aug-Nov. Habitat: Ditches, wet fields, disturbed moist and wet areas, perhaps native only in the deeper South. Distribution: Native distribution uncertain, perhaps e. North Carolina south to s. Florida, west on the Coastal Plain and Mississippi Embayment to Texas, south into Mexico, but expanding its distribution northwards.
