Tephrosia hispidula (Michaux) Persoon. Common name: Sprawling Hoarypea. Phenology: May-Aug; Jul-Oct. Habitat: Pine savannas and other pinelands. Distribution: E. NC (se. VA?) south to c. peninsular FL, west to se. LA, a Southeastern Coastal Plain endemic. Fernald (1950) reported this species from se. VA.

Synonymy : = F, FNA11.1, K4, NS, POWO, RAB, SE3, WH3, Isely (1998), Wood (1949); = Cracca hispidula (Michx.) Kuntze — S, S13; Galega hispidula Michaux. Basionym: Galega hispidula Michx. 1803
