Amelanchier laevis Wiegand. Common name: Smooth Serviceberry, Currant Tree. Phenology: Apr-May; Jun-Jul. Habitat: Mesic to dry forests, high elevation forests, bald. Distribution: NS west to MN, south to e. VA, w. NC, w. SC, AL, w. TN, and IA.
