Amelanchier obovalis (Michaux) Ashe. Common name: Coastal Plain Serviceberry. Phenology: Mar-Apr; May-Jun. Habitat: Pocosins, pine savannas, organic soil mats on granitic domes. Distribution: New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania south to Georgia. This species is not known from Long Island (S. Young, pers. comm.; 2025).
