Vanilla mexicana P. Miller. Common name: Mexican Vanilla. Phenology: Apr-Sep. Habitat: Bay heads, strand swamps. Distribution: S. FL; West Indies; s. Mexico, Central America, and n. South America.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = FNA26, K4, NS, POWO, WH3, WI, Brown (2002); ? Vanilla inodora Schiede — Luer (1975). Basionym: Vanilla mexicana Mill. 1768
