Euphorbia dentata Michaux. Painted Leaf, Wild Poinsettia, Toothed Spurge. Phen: Jul-Oct. Hab: Bottomland forests, disturbed areas, hedgerows, thickets, railroad cinders. Dist: Native of sc. North America. The native distribution obscured by spread since, but apparently OH west to CO, south to LA, TX, NM, AZ, and to s. Mexico (at least).
