Glossary (beta!)

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Taxonomy Comments: "Although Rhynchosia precatoria DC. is based on Glycine precatoria (nom. illeg., superfluous for Indigofera volubilis J.C. Wendl.), the name R. precatoria is legitimate. This is because the epithet "volubilis" was not available in 1809 in Rhynchosia (non R. volubilis Lour. 1790). (K.N. Gandhi, 2020)" (Tropicos 2024).

Synonymy : = Fl3, FNA11.1, K4, Mex, NS, POWO, Isely (1998); Glycine precatoria Humb. & Bonpl. ex Willd. Basionym: Rhynchosia precatoria (Willd.) DC. 1825 "Urbasionym:" Glycine precatoria Humb. & Bonpl. ex Willd. 1809
