Vitis munsoniana var. 1 [=pygmaea]. Common name: Scrub Muscadine, Scrub Grape. Habitat: Florida scrub. Distribution: This entity is narrowly endemic in scrub habitats of the c. FL peninsula (Polk and Highlands counties) (Ward 2006b; Weakley et al. 2011).

Taxonomy Comments: Additional study is needed. This taxon's affinities appear to be with M. munsoniana, so if it is to be recognized in Muscadinia, and M. munsoniana accorded specific rank, a new combination at either varietal or specific rank will be needed.
