*Pereskia aculeata P. Miller. Common name: Pereskia, Lemon Vine, Blade Apple Cactus, Barbados Gooseberry, West Indian Gooseberry. Phenology: Aug-Oct. Habitat: Disturbed shell middens, hammocks, other disturbed areas. Distribution: Native of Neotropics.

Origin/Endemic status: South America

Synonymy : = Fl5, FNA4, SFla, WH3, WI, Benson (1982), (basionym); = Pereskia pereskia (L.) H.Karst. — S, Britton & Rose (1937)
