2024 has been a banner year for making the best flora we can imagine. We've created:

*Cabanisia paniculata (Sprengel) A. Haines. Brazilian Water-hyacinth. Hab: Drainage ditches; apparently only a waif. Dist: Native of tropical America, not collected in our region since 1907 (Horn in FNA 2002a; Small 1933).

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Synonymy : = Haines (2020b); = Eichhornia paniculata (Spreng.) Solms – FNA26, K4, Meso6, WH3, WI; = Piaropus paniculatus (Spreng.) Small – S; = Pontederia paniculata Spreng. – Pellegrini, Horn, & Almeida (2018)
