Hypericum interior Small. Common name: Interior Bushy St. John's-wort. Habitat: Rocky forests, riverbanks, seeps, especially over limestone or dolostone. Distribution: Sw. VA, e. and c. TN, nw. GA south to c. AL.

Taxonomy Comments: Brought back out of general synonymy under H. densiflorum as a variety in Weakley et al. (2011), but better treated at species rank.
