*Lagerstroemia indica Linnaeus. Common name: Crape-myrtle. Phenology: Jun-Sep. Habitat: Commonly cultivated, persistent around old plantings, spreading to roadsides, old fields, suburban woodlands, and natural areas. Distribution: Native of Asia. Reported as escaping in DC (Steury 2011).
