Wolffia borealis (Engelmann) Landolt. Section: Pigmentatae. Common name: Northern Watermeal. Habitat: Still to slowly moving waters of ponds, lakes, beaver ponds, and swamps. Distribution: QC west to BC, south to PA, VA (?), KY, TN, MO, and CA. The occurrence in VA is uncertain.
