Wolffia

not marked as a favorite taxon Wolffia borealis (Engelmann) Landolt. Common name: Northern Watermeal. Habitat: Still to slowly moving waters of ponds, lakes, beaver ponds, and swamps. Distribution: Québec west to British Columbia, south to Pennsylvania, Virginia (?), Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri, and California. The occurrence in Virginia is uncertain.
