Oenothera hispida (Bentham) W.L.Wagner, Hoch, & Zarucchi. Common name: Sweet Gaura, Scented Gaura, Drummond's Gaura. Phenology: Apr-Oct (-Nov). Habitat: Prairies, disturbed areas. Distribution: AR south to LA, TX, and Mexico (BCN, BCS, COA, DGO, GTO, HGO, MEX, MIC, NLE, OAX, QRO, SLP, TAM, ZAC); disjunct eastward in e. GA (Kartesz 1999), where apparently introduced.
