*Citrus ×aurantium Linnaeus (pro sp.). Common name: Sour Orange, Grapefruit, Sweet Orange, Tangerine, Mandarin. Phenology: Mar-May. Habitat: Cultivated horticulturally, sometimes persistent and naturalizing. Distribution: Native of se. Asia. Reported from several counties in s. and e. GA (Jones & Coile 1988).

Other Comments: Mabberley & Wearn (2024) discuss that "cultivar groups" are useful within this hybrid species: Sour Orange Group, Sweet Orange Group, Satsuma or Mandarin Group, and Grapefruit Group.
