Callirhoe involucrata (Torrey & A. Gray) A. Gray var. involucrata. Common name: Purple Poppy-mallow. Phenology: May-Aug. Habitat: Upland prairies, disturbed areas. Distribution: IL, sw. MN, NE, and WY south to AR, nw. LA, TX, and ne. NM; adventive eastwards at isolated locations.
