Callirhoe triangulata (Leavenworth) A. Gray. Common name: Sand Poppy-mallow, Clustered Poppy-mallow. Phenology: Jul-Aug. Habitat: Longleaf pine sandhills, sandy scrub, and other dry, open habitats. Distribution: Sc. NC south to GA (and n. FL?), and west to ec. MS; also sw. WI and ne. IA south to s. IN, s. IL, and se. MO.

Origin/Endemic status: Native

Synonymy : = C, F, Fl4, FNA6, G, Il, K4, Mo3, NS, POWO, WH3, Dorr (1990); = Callirrhoë triangulata — S, S13, orthographic variant; = n/a — RAB. Basionym: Malva triangulata Leavenw. 1824
