Grusonia schottii (Engelmann) H.E. Robinson. Common name: Dog Cholla, Clavellina, Devil Cactus. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Tamaulipan thornscrub (gravelly hillsides) and alluvial areas. Distribution: C and w. TX south through s. TX to Mexico (CHH, COA, DGO, NLE, SLP, TAM)).
