Lepidium austrinum Small. Common name: Southern Pepperwort. Phenology: Feb-Jun. Habitat: Sandy or loamy open areas, disturbed areas; eastwards as a waif around wool-combing mills in Coastal Plain of SC. Distribution: MS, se. KS, and NM south through LA, and TX to Mexico (CHH, COA, NLE, TAM). Also reported from MS (Bryson 1991, FNA).
