*Tamarix canariensis Willdenow. Section: Tamarix. Series: Canariensis. Common name: Canary Island Tamarisk. Habitat: Brackish marshes, coastal hammocks, coastal sands. Distribution: Native of sw. Europe, ne. Africa, and the Canary Islands.

Origin/Endemic status: Mediterranean Europe and Africa
