*Tamarix gallica Linnaeus. Common name: French Tamarisk. Phenology: Apr-Jul. Habitat: Brackish marshes. Distribution: Native of the w. Mediterranean region of Europe. Most reports of this taxon from the Southeast represent misidentifications or a very broad interpretation of the species.
