not marked as a favorite taxon *Polygonum argyrocoleon Steudel ex Kunze. Common name: Silver-sheath Knotweed, Persian Knotweed. Phenology: May-Oct. Habitat: Disturbed areas, especially saline. Distribution: Native of w. Asia. Reported for NC by Burk (1961), with collection at NCU.
