Potamogeton robbinsii Oakes. Common name: Fern Pondweed, Flatleaf pondweed. Phenology: Aug-Sep. Habitat: Tidal freshwater aquatic beds. Distribution: Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island west to Keewatin and Alaska, south to n. Virginia, n. Illinois, s. Minnesota, Colorado, Utah, and California; disjunct in s. Alabama (possibly introduced?).
ID notes: The stiff, 2-ranked (distichous) leaf array of this species is distinctive.
