Potamogeton strictifolius A. Bennett. Straightleaf Pondweed. Phen: Jul-Sep. Hab: Calcareous waters of ponds and streams. Dist: NL (Newfoundland) west to YT, south to w. VA (Rockingham County), n. IL, WY, and n. UT.
Origin/Endemic status: Native
Taxonomy Comments: Potamogeton ×haynesii is a hybrid of P. strictifolius and P. zosteriformis but apparently is not reported south of VT and MI/MN (Crow and Hellquist 2000).
