Spermacoce tenuior Linnaeus. Phen: Sep-Jan. Hab: In clay soils along creeks. Dist: S. TX south through Mexico and Central America to South America. Reported from sw. GA and MS (Kartesz 1999, 2010) {IDs need checking; seems a bit unlikely}.

Origin/Endemic status: Neotropics

Synonymy: = K1, K3, Meso4.2, S, Tx, Ward (2011b); < Spermacoce riparia Cham. & Schltdl. – Bacigalupo (1972)
