Stenanthium gramineum (Ker Gawler) Morong var. robustum (S. Watson) Fernald. Common name: Bog Featherbells. Phenology: Jul-early Sep; Aug-Oct. Habitat: Bogs and wet meadows. Distribution: PA west to IN, south to w. NC.

Origin/Endemic status: Endemic

Taxonomy Comments: Braun (1969) asserted that "var. gramineum blooms 2 weeks to a month sooner than var. robustum in Ohio; the two do not occur in the same patch". Cook (2020) favored species rank for this taxon.
