not marked as a favorite taxon *Thymus praecox Opiz ssp. arcticus (Durand) Jalas. Common name: Mother-of-Thyme. Phenology: Jul-Sep. Habitat: Commonly cultivated and sometimes escaped or persisting. Distribution: Native of Eurasia.

Taxonomy Comments: Apparently differing from other subspecies of T. praceox by the presence of stem hairs mostly on 2 sides, cauline leaves more or less equal size throughout, and leaves densely glandular-punctate (Jalas 1972).
