Dyschoriste oblongifolia (Michaux) Kuntze. Common name: Blue Twinflower, Pineland Dyschoriste. Phenology: Apr-May. Habitat: Pine savannas, pine flatwoods, and longleaf pine sandhills. Distribution: SC to s. FL, west to se. AL and e. Panhandle FL. The basis of Small's (1933) attribution of this species to VA is unknown, and presumed erroneous.
