*Acanthospermum hispidum A.P. de Candolle. Common name: Hispid Starbur. Phenology: Jul-Nov. Habitat: Disturbed areas, soybean and peanut fields, gardens. Distribution: Native of n. South America. First reported from SC by Hill & Horn (1997).
