*Artemisia biennis Willdenow var. biennis . Subgenus: Pectinata. Biennial Wormwood. Phen: Aug-Oct. Hab: Disturbed areas, especially in sandy soils; also waif in waste area around wool-combing mills (SC). Dist: Native of the w. United States. Reported for SC by Nesom (2004d); also reported to be naturalized as far east as TN and WV (Hardy County).
