Distribution: Endemic to the Cumberland Plateau region of KY and n. TN (Scott County, TN) (Chester, Wofford, & Kral 1997)

Taxonomy Comments: A hexaploid species (2n=54). The original spelling of the epithet, with "-ii" termination, is in error and must be corrected under Article 32 of the ICN.
