not marked as a favorite taxon Gaillardia pulchella Fougeroux de Bondaroy var. drummondii (W.J. Hooker) B.L. Turner. Common name: Beach Blanket-flower. Phenology: Apr-Dec. Habitat: Dunes, sandy flats behind the dunes, roadsides and vacant lots on barrier islands. Distribution: Ne. North Carolina south to Florida, west to Texas; Bahamas. Probably native only in Texas (Franck 2020).
