Rubiaceae
Casasia
Casasia A. Richard. Common name: Seven-Year-Apple.
A genus of about 7-11 species, shrubs and small trees, of s. Florida and the West Indies. Genipa does not appear to be closely related to Casasia, the two genera falling into different phylogenetic groups (Mouly et al. 2014); it therefore seems best and most conservative to treat our species in Casasia.
